As a kid, my mom used a film camera to shoot our daily family moments. I remember being intrigued about the process and seeing my mom’s images come to life. Those sincere moments that she captured and my curiosity led me to start my own path of photography. I’m a sucker for simple moments – moments when a mom brushes the hair out of her child’s face, or a dad hoisting his kid up onto his shoulders, or a new mom unconsciously rubbing her belly. I thrive on the chaos as well. What many perceive as wild, loud and crazy, I see as a real beautiful family moment.
Family photography is my passion, but there’s more to me than just being behind the camera.
Most days you can find me holding a cup of coffee. It’s my source of life and I go straight to coffee. My friends joke me because there are always coffee cups clanging around like wind chimes in my car.
When I’m not holding my cup of coffee, you can find me reading and running. I find that both of these hobbies relax and ground me. I should also mention that my happy place is near any body of water and with my husband and kids. They are the most important people in my life and I love spending as much time with them as I can.
